Lisboa IT Club is a community event organised by a group of technology enthusiasts. The event brings together IT professionals in Lisbon for talks, knowledge sharing, and networking.

When you submit the registration form, we collect only the information necessary to manage your attendance:
We do not collect special categories of personal data (health, race, religion, biometric data, etc.).

We process your personal data on the following GDPR legal bases:

• Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — managing registrations, sending event logistics, and curating a relevant attendee list. Our legitimate interest is the organisation and smooth running of the event.
• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — if you opt in to receive information about future Lisboa IT Club events. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us.

We use your data exclusively for the following purposes:

• Confirming your registration and sending event information (venue, schedule, updates).
• Verifying eligibility and maintaining a relevant professional attendee list.
• Facilitating introductions — your name and job title may appear on an attendee list shared only with confirmed participants.
• Notifying you about future Lisboa IT Club events — only with your explicit consent.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Your data may be accessed by:

• Co-organisers — members of the Lisboa IT Club organising team, for the sole purpose of running the event.
• Google LLC — registration responses are stored in Google Sheets. Google acts as a data processor under Google's Data Processing Agreement. Data may be stored on servers within or outside the EEA; Google's Standard Contractual Clauses apply where applicable.

No data is shared with any other third party without your prior consent.

We retain your registration data for 2 years from the date of the event. After this period, all personal data is permanently deleted.
If you have consented to receive communications about future events, we retain only your name and email address until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent.
You may request deletion of your data at any time before this period ends — see Section 9.

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right of access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Right to rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Right to erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
• Right to restriction — ask us to limit processing of your data in certain circumstances.
• Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
• Right to withdraw consent — at any time, where processing is based on consent, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
